Tri Balance

Welcome to Hot Yoga at TriBalance!

Yoga is a refined system that works on developing and balancing, strength and flexibility, focus and endurance. The use of various physical motions are believed to be essential to achieve a sense of both physical and mental well being .Yoga is not a belief or religion but a way for us to reach our greater potential by strengthening and energizing the physical body. The Indian 'darsana' or "sight; way of seeing" has six fundamental systems - one of them is Yoga.

Yoga stretches muscles, ligaments and tendons, working out the entire body. Yoga accelerates and oxygenates the circulatory system. The immune system of the body is strengthened to help fight diseases and damaged tissues are repaired faster with the help of yoga. A principle of a yoga class is one can learn to steadily make new demands of oneself, to work harder, deeper, yet calmer. Yoga tones the muscles, aids in weight management, relaxes and reshapes the body. It achieves the basic aim of yoga, unification of the body, mind and spirit.

"In the zone"

Yoga has been successful for the past 5000 years due greatly to its effects on the body. Yoga is performed daily we just do not always realize we are practicing it. Often times, references are made to professional athletes being "in the zone"--a state of being athletes reach where thought is suspended and focus and concentration are heightened. When Tiger Woods is putting for a win on the 18th hole or when an Olympic power lifter is preparing for a 700lb press, they are "in the zone". This is the foundation of Yoga, the union of body, mind and spirit or being "in the zone".

Yoga is the science of self development. It is through this science that we learn to apply these ancient teachings in ways that bring greater balance and focus to our daily lives. Yoga is likely the oldest defined system of self development.

Restore balance and well-being

Physically, yoga has shown to be effective in alleviating - chronic aches and pains. Many people have found that a simple, regular yoga practice strengthens their back, one of the most common complaints in our culture.

Yoga postures benefit the physical body by the contraction or tensing of a set or sets of muscles, and then releasing or relaxing those muscles. This simple process of contraction-release increases blood circulation to the tissues. When that pressure is released, blood rushes through the veins and arteries, flushing out blockages and toxins. By careful sequencing of poses, this effect is directed to either specific areas of the body or to the whole body. Yoga asanas, when practiced with awareness under the guidance of a skillful teacher, strengthen the supporting tissues of the structure, balance areas of weakness and overuse, increase circulation and promote functioning of the body's intricate physiological processes. Yoga therapy is becoming increasingly popular as a complimentary means of facilitating the body's capacity to restore balance and well being.
