Edward A. Narrido Licensed Certified Massage Therapist
Zen-Meridian Style Massage Therapy

Edward (Mr.Miagyi) combines a blend of Asian Bodywork, Energy Healing and Western Modalities to create a truly unique approach to treating the body and mind. His technique is both therapeutic and relaxing, while providing deep tissue relief for sports or other injuries. Some techniques Edward integrates into your experience include: Acupressure, Aroma Therapy, Deep Tissue, Hilot, Shiatsu, Swedish, Rain Drops, Stone Therapy, Tuina, Reflexology, Russian Massage, Esalen (Big Sur, CA), Sports Massage. Energy work may include: Reiki, Qi-Gong, Polarity, Touch Therapy, Tai Chi Chuan, and Thai Yoga Massage. Edward also offers pregnancy massage.

Edward has over 15 years experience including positions at the Chicago Hilton Athletic Club, Mario Triccoci Salons, Forbici Salon, and Northwest Community Hospital Wellness Center.

Treatments are offered in his office by appointment only for 30,60 or 90 minutes. Discounts are offered for first time clients and for referrals.

Nutrition & Yoga

The basic principle of nutrition, from the yoga perspective, is to eat small quantities of high quality foods. The high quality foods are those which promote the life force of the body without producing toxins. The recommended foods are fruits, vegetables, whole grains and nuts.

Yoga's principles of nutrition are very similar to what modern science has discovered in more recent times. Nutrition and yoga compliment each other well. Both are designed to nourish the body, mind and spirit. We are as different on the inside as we are on the outside. Since nutritional needs vary from person to person there is no such thing as a "one-size-fits-all" nutritional program. We will create a custom program for each individual according to their blood type, environment and health and lifestyle concerns. Nutrition is not just about food, it is about living a lifestyle that promotes wellness. This approach to health will also incorporate fitness, yoga, and meditation.

Clients can expect major changes to occur in their understanding of their body as well as in their attitude, energy levels and weight. Together we create a personalized sustainable nutrition program that includes supplements as well as cooking with whole foods. These changes can create a dynamic shift in lifestyle, relationships, career and self-esteem. We offer a comprehensive nutrition program that detects health problems that are beginning as well as ones that already exist. Our tests determine what nutrients and vitamins your body is deficient in, if your current supplements are working and what harmful toxins exist within your body. We use blood, hair analysis and a personal consultation to help us gather this information. Our tests are performed by doctors so most insurance companies fully cover our programs.
